A GUIDE TO LEADERSHIP

A GUIDE TO LEADERSHIP

The leadership cycle for the girls (beneficiaries) is in motion with the distribution of the autobiography of Mariam Ladi Yunusa. Representatives of MLY-F visited school principals and administrators to orientate them about the embedded values of the book On the Window Sill and how the leadership prowess, determination, goal-driven life of our Matriarch, Mariam Ladi reflects all through the book.

Don’t forget that one of the visions of Mariam Ladi Yunusa Foundation is to empower/rehabilitate orphan girls into becoming leaders in and beyond their homelands. Therefore, copies of On the Window Sill were donated not only to school administrators but also to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Adamawa State in order to make it known that “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality” and this is achievable by making the girls get inspired by the strength and determination of Mariam Ladi Yunusa who against all odds became an enviable leader and the cynosure of all eyes.

The message embedded in the book On the Window Sill isn’t restricted to Nigerian girls but has gone beyond the shores of the country. Copies of the book were also given to girls in Burkina Faso to nurture them into becoming world leaders.

Conclusively, William Arthur Wood quoted that “Leadership is based on inspiration, not domination, on cooperation, not intimidation.”
